Individual Category Results
Here are the results for the 33rd Annual High School Shoot-Out. Third Floor Photographic Society, a student organization at Texas A&M University-Commerce, sponsors this annual contest. Over 1,600 images and 13 portfolios were entered this year from 15 high schools. The judges calling the shots were Ginger Sisco and David Cook. Both are professional photographers in the Paris, Texas area and distinguished Texas A&M University – Commerce alumni.
            Awards this year are certificates for all the winners which will be in the mail shortly. The Best in Show and First Place Junior/Senior Portfolio winners will receive a $1,200 scholarship should he/she decide to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce as a student pursuing a major in photography.  Also, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners in the Junior/Senior Portfolio will receive a $1,000 scholarship should he/she decide to attend Texas A&M University-Commerce as a student pursuing a major in photography. Both judges were impressed by “the outstanding quality of the work which made decisions very difficult”.

            We wish to congratulate all the winners and encourage those of you who did not make it into the finals to keep making photographs!

SPE: seen more then we can talk about.

Thanks to all that was involved, SPE was an amazing conference. We learned a great deal about photography and the effects of Sprawl on our world. Photo Society was so grateful we could send 13 of our members to the conference. I know it was exciting and eye opening to see the diversity of work covering the conference topic SPRAWL. 7 words Something I picked up was from the Tamron sales rep. 38 th  Annual High School Shoot-Out Contest Results Here are the results of the 38th Annual High School Shoot-Out contest sponsored by Third Floor Photographic Society. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who entered this year’s contest. We greatly appreciate the effort that your school takes to enter our contest. 581 single images and 9 Junior/Senior Portfolios were entered this year from 14 high schools with the proceeds going to the Third Floor Photo Society Scholarship.
